The Turkish painter Cevdet Kocaman creates vibrant, colourful motifs.
Cevdet Kocaman was born in Erdine, Turkey in 1951. He graduated from the Istanbul University Law Faculty in 1972 and practiced law in Erdine. In 1975 he entered the Advanced Art Department at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1986 and 1990 he studied at the Graphic and Design Department at the Copenhagen Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark. Cevdet Kocaman has also served as an advisor in the Turkish Ministry of Culture and as a cultural attaché at the Turkish Embassy in Copenhagen.
Cevdet Kocaman has had numerous exhibitions in different countries. Amongst other places, his works are included in the collection of Sinop Museum and the National Museum in Ankara.
