The Latvian artist Karina Rungenfelde depicts a surreal world of characters and animals.
Karina Rungenfelde (1978) was born in Riga but grew up in the USSR/Ukraine. She went back to Latvia to study. In her current work she is very much inspired by irrational and uncontrollable expressions of surrealism as well of old baroque paintings from the Spanish school.
