Meet the artist at the opening on Saturday April 22nd 2017 as the Norwegian artist guests Liza’s Gallery with this up-coming solo exhibition. The exhibition runs until June 1st 2017.

Margrethe Leonore Solstad creates poetic and atmospheric  works using people and nature as her favourite motifs. She is fascinated with the structure of wood and she paints with an oil glaze on board, leaving the wood structure as an important part of the painting.

Margrethe Leonore Solstad was born in 1968 and lives and works in Oslo. She is educated as a graphic designer and has worked as a set designer for theatre. She has also studied for two years at Kunstskolan Krot in Trondheim.  Over the past few years she has had a number of solo exhibitions at galleries in Norway.
